StepMania 5 LTEK Edition 5.0 — Free Windows Beta
Step onto your dance mat and make room for more ways to play. StepMania 5 LTEK Edition brings Dance modes for one, two, or three players, group multiplayer, and LTEK mat automapping into one free Windows package. Learn the basics with Ada and Kuba, try mat-controlled minigames, or add supported CUBIC and DMX lighting to your setup.
What is new in this release
- Dance for one, two, or three players, plus group multiplayer on a single setup.
- LTEK mat automapping — Automap recognises your pad, so you no longer have to assign every panel by hand.
- Tutorial with Ada and Kuba, and mat-controlled minigames for the first steps.
- Audio & Video Sync — guided manual calibration, plus automatic audio measurement when a compatible LTEK Audio Sync Sensor is connected. The sensor is a separate hardware accessory, and video calibration remains a separate step. In this revision the result screen is simpler, and saving your synchronization takes you straight back to the main menu.
- Supported CUBIC and DMX lighting can be added to your setup.
- SimFile Loader for StepMania is included — it helps you find and import more song packs, so you can keep building your library.
- Three starter songs with charts and artwork: More feat. Jon Mullins (Ryan Prewett), Sugarsweet (Zach Sorgen), Superman Soul (Rex Banner).
- Required runtime installers are bundled — Visual C++ x86, .NET Framework 4.8 and DirectX, so there is nothing else to download first.

New StepMania LTEK Edition: Three Mats, a Whole Class, and Rhythm Without the Guesswork
This is a beta release. Some dance mat combinations may need Automap or manual mapping, and accessory support and performance depend on your hardware. Back up your songs, profiles, and settings before installing. Automatic audio calibration provides an estimate, not a guarantee of tournament-grade timing.
Use song packs only as permitted by their licenses and your permissions. Commercial or public use may require additional rights.
Created by Tomasz “Tekatom” Krupnik, Jakub Warzecha, and Adrianna Krupnik. Based on StepMania, with thanks to its authors and community. Music, artwork, and library authors retain their respective rights.

LTEK Audio Sync Sensor: DIY files
These two files are for people building their own LTEK Audio Sync Sensor, the small USB device that lets StepMania measure how long sound takes to reach your playing position. You do not need them to play, because the game also offers manual calibration. The step by step build is in Build Your Own LTEK Audio Sync Sensor.
Firmware for the RP2040-Zero (.uf2)
A .uf2 file is a firmware image you flash by drag and drop. Hold BOOT on the RP2040-Zero, plug it into your computer, release the button, and a drive named RPI-RP2 appears. Copy the file onto that drive and the board restarts with the sensor firmware on it. No programmer and no toolchain needed.

Build identifier reference-original45s, 283 136 bytes, for the Waveshare RP2040-Zero only. SHA-256: 2c992bb490e6634698a88513bac9ebc97d73617fb57b74c311fa36d18c30f1f2
This is the same unchanged image that runs in our two working test sensors, published as a reference for the current LTEK beta. It is not a certification of absolute timing accuracy, and it is not compatible with every microphone module. Never flash it onto a board that controls a dance pad or any other device; use a dedicated RP2040-Zero.
Wiring schematic (.sch, EAGLE)
An .sch file is a schematic you open in Autodesk EAGLE. It documents the six connections between the RP2040-Zero and the INMP441 microphone module, with the module symbols embedded, so you can read the wiring in a CAD tool instead of from a picture. It describes how two ready made boards connect; it is not a PCB manufacturing design.
Download the wiring schematic (.sch)
Its XML and the six connections have been checked. Opening the file in EAGLE and running ERC still needs to be verified, so treat it as documentation of the wiring rather than a validated CAD project.
