How the Patent Works
Standard Bluetooth dance mats fail at one thing: keeping perfect timing under sustained traffic. They drop packets, switch channels with visible lag and miss arrows during fast charts.
L-TEK's patented protocol uses sequentially ordered periodic signals with embedded position markers. The BaseMINI hub can detect lost transmissions and switch communication channels automatically within a 2-5 millisecond window. Players do not notice the protocol working - the mat just responds.

Is the Wireless PRO W Set as fast as wired dance pads?
The patented protocol (US12186654) maintains a 2-5 ms timing window, with 4 ms timing listed for the product. Wired LTEK mats are faster, 1ms timing. But comparing to usual market mats, wireless ones are 2..4 faster (cheap mats moslty are 8mm - 16ms timing (lower = better)
How long does the battery last?
Up to 60 hours of active play per charge.
Can I connect more than 2 mats?
Yes. The LTEK USB BaseMINI station supports up to 4 wireless pads connected to one computer. The set ships with 2 mats. For larger fitness and business installations, a dedicated fitness base can support up to 32 wireless mats. See L-TEK for Business.
Does it work with StepMania, ITGMania and PIU?
Yes. It works through USB connection from BaseMINI to PC or Mac. PIU Phoenix and PIU RISE Steam are supported through L-TEK Stepmania LTEK feature mapping configuration.

Yes. BaseMINI connects via USB A-B cable. Mac users with USB-C only ports need a USB-C hub or adapter.

Love it! I used cheap foam pads for a few months, but could feel their limitations (sliding, inconsistent detection, etc). This new metal pad felt like a clear upgrade. The price is a little steep but feels fair given the quality of the board.

I really like the wireless L-Tek dance mat. The battery last a very long time and even if its flat, a sufficiently long cable is added for charging that I have never had any issue. The wireless capability has enabled me to use the pads in several settings where it would otherwise have been difficult and the pads themselves have survived a lot of use without issue.
I only have one major annoyance, and that is that L-Tek does not sell or want to sell the wireless base module as a separate unit. This means that I cannot divide up the 2 pads for 2 separate installations, nor loan 1 to a friend or anything like that. The wireless pads do not seem to have a wired backup option on the board. The USB seems to be for charging only.

We recently received our wireless LTEK dance mat pro (comes with 2 mats + receiver) and they work amazingly well. Shipping was super fast and came well packaged and undamaged via FedEx air. Communication was prompt and the team was responsive.
There isn’t much in way of instructions, just plug the wireless adapter into your computer (it was packaged with one of the mats), charge up your mats with the included USB cables to some old phone plugs, sync the mats to the adapter (2 green lights should appear), map your directions in whatever game you use (ITGMania for us) and start having fun!
