A familiar layout with a firm surface
Core gives you four active arrow panels for the up, down, left and right steps used in many rhythm games. Its ARM-based USB controller, low sensor travel and sensitive panels are designed for responsive input, while the rigid construction gives you a defined platform to practise on. The 1000 Hz specification describes the pad’s USB polling rate; take time to calibrate your game and audio as well. PRO panels can be used barefoot or in sports shoes. Aluminium borders, ABS corner bumpers and anti-slip feet complete the pad, and the detachable cable plugs into a recessed socket.

Assemble the support around your pad
This set includes The Handbar, the steel support rail intended for home and amateur use. Its powder-coated frame and rail assemble around the mat to provide a handhold during play. The published base drawing is 888 × 1130 mm, so allow more floor space than the pad alone and leave room to move on and off it. Use the assembly manual together with the new-part supplement: the updated corner pieces change the relevant fitting steps. Once everything is assembled, check the fixings, floor contact and cable route, then try a few easy steps before starting your first song.

Choose a look that belongs in your room
The Core set’s live product page supports custom mat panels. To order them with the set, add Panel customization to the same order and upload your photo, logo or artwork using the online editor. Review the design against the available panel layout so that the main parts of your image sit where you want them. The panels are fitted to the mat before it is sent to you. This service changes the mat’s appearance and is a separate addition to the standard set. Use the customization guide to prepare the design and check the current choices before completing your order.
04 / Computer and game setup
Put the hardware together, then take your first steps
You supply a compatible computer, display and rhythm game for this pad-and-rail set. After assembling and checking the hardware, connect Core by USB and test the four inputs in your game’s controller settings. The L-TEK Software page offers StepMania 5 LTEK Edition as a free Windows beta, alongside other available downloads; check the listed system requirements before installing. A Mac needs compatible game software and a suitable adapter or hub if it has only USB-C ports. Classic PS2 or PSX rhythm-game use requires the dedicated L-TEK converter, purchased separately. Begin with an easy chart and adjust timing before increasing the difficulty.

Lay out the Core pad, The Handbar parts and tools. Use the base drawing to plan your space, with a clear route to your computer and room to step off the mat.

Assemble and check The Handbar
Follow the assembly manual and updated corner-part supplement. Fit the mat, tighten the specified fixings and check that the complete setup sits steadily.

Connect and install your game
Connect the pad with its USB cable. On Windows, open the L-TEK Software page for StepMania 5 LTEK Edition and follow the current installation instructions.

Test every arrow and start slowly
Check all four inputs, map controls if needed and calibrate audio/game timing. Start with an easy song while you get used to the pad and handhold.

Which support rail comes with this set?
The set includes The Handbar, the rail designed for home and amateur use. Handbar PRO is a separate product with a different frame and assembly manual.
Can I play as soon as I unpack it?
First assemble The Handbar and fit the pad following the manual and new-part supplement. Check the complete setup, then connect the pad to your computer, install a compatible game and test the controls.
How much floor space do I need?
The Core pad is listed at 85 × 85 × 3 cm. The published drawing for The Handbar base measures 88.8 × 113 cm. Leave extra clearance for your movement, the screen and a safe cable route.
Is a computer or game console included?
This is a dance mat and support rail set. You supply the computer and display. L-TEK software downloads provide a starting point for Windows; other systems need compatible software. PS2/PSX use needs the dedicated converter, bought separately.
Can I order custom artwork on the mat?
Yes. Add Panel customization to the same order, select the appropriate panels and upload your artwork in the online editor. The customized panels arrive fitted to your mat.
Can I use it in an apartment?
Plan the floor surface, placement and playing hours as part of your setup. Footsteps can transmit through a building even when the mat itself is relatively quiet; The Handbar is a support rail and does not soundproof the floor.
